Watercolours (& a few oils)

The beauty of the world around us captivates.

Sometimes it takes our breath away...

Always, it invites us to look again, look more closely, really SEE.

Yes, these aren't in any way brilliant.  A great artist I am not.  It's amateur hour all the way here. BUT together they represent so many, many blissful hours spent in the state of 'flow' recording something that brought joy to my heart on beholding it.  A pure intention.  And that, I think, sings out of them, as they reflect back how miraculous is this planet we jointly inhabit.  Whenever we stop to look.

Every child is an artist. What happens to us somewhere in childhood when we think, 'Oh that's not good enough!  I can't draw/paint/do colour etc.' ?  Well, I am here to tap you on the shoulder and say If you feel it, it is worthy of your time and effort. The result is not the point.  Your experience is.  So get out there and sketch, pick up coloured pencils or paints and go for it.  Don't judge the result.  Just see and feel.
